Washington: Andrew Giuliani, a White House aide and son of President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, said he tested positive for COVID -19

“This morning I tested positive for COVID-19,” said on Twitter young Giuliani, who joined Trump’s White House Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs in 2017

“I am experiencing mild symptoms and I am following all appropriate protocols including quarantine and contact tracing”

Andrew attended his father’s press conference on Thursday local time at the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, according to multiple reports

Elder Giuliani and other Trump campaign lawyers spoke without a mask from a covered podium to an audience of dozens at the press conference

“I know the crimes I can smell them,” Rudy Giuliani said at the press conference, as streaks of sweat and what appeared to be hair dye trickled down the sides of his face “You don’t have to feel this one I can prove it to you in 18 different ways” He provided no evidence for his claims

Several White House staff have tested positive for the disease in recent weeks, including Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, while six members of Congress have tested positive this week

At least four other people working at the White House, in addition to Andrew, have contracted the disease in recent days, The New York Times reported on Friday.

Judd Deere, a White House spokesman, said: “Any positive case is taken seriously Contact tracing was conducted by the White House medical unit in accordance with CDC guidelines to stop any subsequent transmission and appropriate notifications and recommendations have been made “
