Six confirmed cases of COVID-19 are linked to fitness classes held at Aurora Fit Body Boot Camp last week

York Region Public Health released a public notice today for the cluster of confirmed COVID-19 cases for class participants at the 255 Industrial Parkway South facility between Monday9 and Saturday, Nov14 from 5:45 am to 7:30 am each day

Since the notification of the first confirmed case in November14, the public health unit has confirmed five more cases, all residing in York Region

“Aurora Fit Body Boot Camp and its clients have acted in accordance with current public health measures, including physical distancing, non-sharing of equipment, and the use of hand sanitizer and sanitizer,” according to York Region spokesperson Patrick Casey “However, during a fitness class, participants do not wear masks or face masks”

The risk of exposure is low, he said, but to support public health in tracing contacts and notifying people, residents who have attended any of the fitness classes should take these directives:
