England is currently in its second coronavirus lockdown, which prohibits people from leaving their homes except on ‘essential trips’ Non-essential pubs, bars, restaurants and shops have been urged to close their homes again doors and international travel have been banned Elsewhere in the UK, Scotland has launched a new four-tier system, while Wales has just emerged from its fire lockdown In Northern Ireland, the lockdown on ” circuit breaker “in the country will be extended for another two weeks

It’s a confusing system, which will become even more confusing as England lifted its lockdown restrictions on December 2

This doesn’t mean that everyone living in England will be able to go out normally from that date, however

In fact, the country will return to a three-tier system of regional restrictions, this was confirmed overnight – and these restrictions will be tightened

The government initially resisted a national lockdown for England and instead imposed the three tier system, which was in effect from October 14 to November 5

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to make an announcement on Monday about the next restrictions England will face after this current lockdown is lifted

Ministers will determine what level an area will drop to next when rules are lifted on December 2

But if these local measures appear similar to those in place previously, the three levels will be considerably strengthened to safeguard the gains made during the national lockdown

MEPs should have a vote on the new system before it enters into force

Well, it’s not yet clear exactly how the restrictions might change – Cabinet talks are taking place today and the so-called ‘Covid winter plan’ is expected to be unveiled on Monday

M Johnson is expected to say people will have an extra hour to finish their food and drinks after the last orders are placed at 10 p.m.

The plan will also show how people will be able to spend Christmas, sources suggesting that several families may be allowed to join a “bubble” between December 22 and 28

No domestic mixing is allowed indoors under this higher tier, while the rule of six will continue to apply outdoors

Pubs and bars must serve a “substantial” portion of food in order to serve alcohol – those that do not serve meals are closed

It is understood that the Government’s Science Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) will say on Monday that previous levels were not strong enough

Sage had advised M Johnson and his government to carry out a second national lockdown much earlier, but the PM had resisted their advice

However, the Prime Minister will have to be on his guard amid the waves of rebellion from his rear benches

Several Tory MPs are opposed to the new restrictions and have already called for Mr. Johnson following the imposition of a second lockout

Currently, it is hoped that restrictions can be gradually reduced as spring approaches, but without a fully approved vaccine, it is still unclear how long this pandemic will continue or how long we will live under such restrictions.
