Dwight Howard signs one-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, his agent, Charles Briscoe, told ESPN

The deal is for the minimum $ 2 exception for veterans 6 million, sources told ESPN’s Bobby Marks

Howard, 34, is considered one of the greatest great men of his generation, with a career average of 167 points, 123 rebounds and 19 blocks per game

He signed a one-year, $ 2.56 million contract with the Lakers in August 2019, making his return to Los Angeles after an acrimonious departure in 2013

Eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, Howard found himself in an unknown role with the Lakers last season, dropping off the bench in all but two of his 69 games. In just under 19 minutes per game, Howard averaged 75 points, 73 rebounds and 11 blocks

Despite playing even fewer minutes in the playoffs, Howard started seven games and won his first NBA championship in his 16th season

Prior to joining the Lakers, Howard only played nine games with the Washington Wizards in the 2018-19 season, missing most of that season after undergoing spinal surgery Healthy with the Charlotte Hornets in 2017-18, Howard was 16 averaging 6 points and 125 rebounds per game
